  30.     Amazing PD software from the Netherlands! AIM is an image-processing utility
  31.     that performs standard image processing functions and transforms
  32.     to *.IM files [256x256x1byte, I think]. Included are threshold, equalize
  33.     histogram, 3x3 filter, Laplace xform, gradient, +, -, *, /, etc, etc!
  34.     Written by Frans Groen, Robert DeVries, and Igor Weber of the Centre for 
  35.     Image Processing DELFT.  The macro programs with the .AIM extension can be
  36.     run from the menu entry to give you an idea of what AIM can do.  Try this 
  37.     program out.  It's just amazing for a public domain program.  This is the 
  38.     latest version 2.51. A must have!!!!

  46.     These files are compatible with lo-res color *and* monochrome. Color
  47.     images are displayed in an 8-level grayscale; monochrome images
  48.     are 'dithered.' The images are selected to demonstrate various
  49.     techniques of image processing. That is, they typically have some
  50.     defect or show little detail until they are operated on. They are
  51.     part of the original submission from Groen, De Vries, & Weber.  For more
